NCI International Demonstrated High Intensive, Sustainable Shrimp Grow Out System in Vietnam

LAS VEGAS, June 20, 2008—NCI International, LLC has successfully demonstrated a full-scale system and technology demonstration project for Eco-sustainable, Intensive Shrimp Technology (“EIST”) in Kien Giang Province, Vietnam (Dec 2007-May 2008).  The system technology, Zero Exchange - Microbial Floc process, was the first of its kind in the country to entirely base on integrating probiotic microbial floc ecosystem in conjunction with in-situ biofiltration to maintain a largely pristine, natural water environment without use of any chemicals or drugs, or the need for risk laden water exchange as commonly practiced by the industry.  The technology project demonstrated the capability to sustain year round production of 10-12 tons/ha/5-month crop with Tiger shrimp (P. Monodon sp.) and 18-20 tons/ha/4-month crop with White Pacific shrimp (L. Vannamei).
